"Encouraged and helped by my friend Jean-Pierre SUCHERAS, I created ACTILAM to develop pocket knives. I like objects that combine function with aesthetics. The pocket knife is a beautiful expression of this concept. I enjoy using my pocket knife on a daily basis, I also enjoy operating its mechanism, the noise, the smoothness of a mechanism designed to be simple, efficient and precise. All these design issues are real challenges, fun to look for, to implement. The ARNO company, which I have managed for 17 years, is a great tool in metallurgy. It was therefore quite natural that ACTILAM created the models and entrusted the manufacture to ARNO. The blades are hot forged to obtain the best of the metallurgical structure. The mechanisms are CNC machined for precision and repeatability, and assembly is controlled internally".
