This HikMicro Cheetah Clip-On 940 nm IR night vision scope (no reticle, for countries that don’t allow one) can be used in two ways. It can be used as monocular for handheld spotting of wildlife. But by taking off the eye cup, it can be used as a clip-on to attach to your rifle scope to turn it in to a night vision rifle scope. By making use of a 940 nm infrared light, the IR-light is less visible for wildlife.
The practical use of the HikMicro Cheetah Clip-On 940 nm IR night vision scope without a reticle is very wide, while also being very easy to use. By means of four modes, it can be used at any moment of the day:
- Day
- Night
- Automatic
- Fog
Especially that last mode is very interesting, as HikMicro has developed its own optic solution for being able to bring up the infrared detection under foggy circumstances to higher levels. The detection range of the 2560x1440 UHD sensor is 350 metres, helped by the internal 940 nm infrared light. With this, a nicely detailed image with 25 Hz framerate is shown on the 1920x1080 OLED display.
The HikMicro Cheetah Clip-On 940 nm IR night vision scope has a rechargeable battery and thanks to the USB-C port, an external power source can be used too. It can also record image (photo and video) and sound, using an internal 64 GB memory. Even recoil activation is supported, starting a recording when the rifle is fired.
