This HikMicro Thunder 3.0 Clip-On TQ35C thermal imaging camera (no reticle) is the perfect tool for everyone who wants to observe in poor light conditions. It’s a clip-on that can easily be mounted onto a rifle scope, after which the thermal images can be seen through the rifle scope. Those thermal images are registered by the sensor, which has a resolution of 640x512p. That sensor has a pixel pitch of only 12 µm, so the pixels are very close to one another, allowing them to provide a crisp image. The thermal sensitivity (also known as the NETD) of only 15 mK also contributes to the exceptionally sharp thermal images. A low NETD ensures even the smallest changes in temperature can be perceived, so whatever is being observed can be seen properly.
Everything is shown on the large OLED display that has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and even the smallest details can be seen clearly through the rifle scope. The display has a great frame refresh rate of 50 Hz and observing with the Thunder 3.0 Clip-On is rather comfortable. It features various colour modes, allowing you to observe effectively in different circumstances:
• Black hot
• White hot
• Red hot
• Fusion
• Red monochrome
• Green monochrome
The objective has a diameter of 35 mm and the HikMicro Thunder 3.0 Clip-On TQ35C thermal imaging camera (no reticle) has a field-of-view of 21.9x14 metres at a distance of 100 metres. The thermal imaging sensor has a reach of 1800 metres, so you can observe from quite a ways away.
In addition to observing, the thermal imaging camera can also be used to take pictures and record videos with audio. There are buttons on top of the housing which are easily accessible and allow for easy operation of the device, but the thermal imaging camera also has a recoil-activation function. That function ensures a short video is recorded as soon as the Thunder 3.0 Clip-On registers recoil. As a result, every shot can easily be recorded. All the pictures taken and videos recorded are stored in the internal memory of 64 GB and they can easily be transferred to a smartphone by using the Hotspot function. This Thunder 3.0 Clip-On even has a stream function, which can be used to observe through a second screen.
This HikMicro Thunder 3.0 Clip-On TQ35C thermal imaging camera (no reticle) has a durable housing with a weight of only 460 grams and it has an IP67 waterproof rating. That rating guarantees the device is entirely dustproof and that it can be submerged in water to a depth of one metre for 30 minutes maximum. The clip-on comes with a replaceable and rechargeable Li-ion battery with a battery life of six hours.
