In 1890, in a small Maurienne village of Savoie region, Joseph Opinel invented the famous pocket knife that bears his name today. The Opinel Company is still being held by Joseph's descendants and produces knives in the heart of the french Alpes in Chambéry. Quality has made Opinel knives' reputation for the past 130 years.

The N°08 Champignon is available in black walnut for elegant and refined foraging.
This classic Opinel features a comfortable black walnut handle, enhanced by an orange Alcantara cord. It has an 8 cm curved stainless steel blade for easy picking, with a scraper on the back for cleaning mushrooms. The natural bristle brush integrated into the end of the handle makes it easy to dust them off: the ideal tool for efficient and careful harvesting. This pocket knife comes in an elegant wooden pencil case with a plexiglass window. This knife is customisable and made in France.
