In 1890, in a small Maurienne village of Savoie region, Joseph Opinel invented the famous pocket knife that bears his name today. The Opinel Company is still being held by Joseph's descendants and produces knives in the heart of the french Alpes in Chambéry. Quality has made Opinel knives' reputation for the past 130 years.

This leather case from the France collection is made in Savoy. It is made from top-of-the-range fawn leather from an Italian tannery.
It is compatible with traditional pocket knives, including the N°07, N°08 and N°09 and the Effilés 8 and 10.
